I am so in love with this wedding that I have had to split it into two parts. Nicola and Chris got married at Pembroke Lodge, one of my favourite London venues for its amazing location in the midst of Richmond Park. Nicola and Chris are most definitely creative types, and their day featured lots of artistic touches that made it very personal. Nicola’s bridesmaid, Liz, made her gorgeous birdcage-veil headpiece, and the bridesmaid dresses were customised with a little red ribbon and corsage to give a cinched waist. Nicola even made her wedding dress her own by adding a handmade corsage to the bodice. I love these little DIY touches.
Red is one of my favourite colours for a wedding (I had it for my own five years ago) and it contrasted beautifully with the yellow daffodils that were scattered around the venue’s grounds. Spring had certainly sprung.
Having photographed Nicola and Chris along the South Bank in January, I knew that photography was very important to them and they were keen to spend quite a while on portraits. We took the Rolls for a spin around the park (as you do!) and got some gorgeous shots surrounded by all the beautiful trees.
Nicola and Chris are currently on their honeymoon in South Africa, and according to Nicola’s email to me this week, doing lots of sightseeing and wine-tasting. Very jealous!
Come back to the blog for part 2 in a few days….
