When I first met Kate at a wedding fair at the start of the year, I was bowled over by the fact that she had travelled down from London, mainly to meet me and see some more of my work. Apparently she had been reading the blog and saw my post about exhibiting at the show, so she decided to make the trip. Wowsers. It just goes to show that you never know who’s out there watching you! After the fair, I met up with Kate again, this time with her fiance, Chris, at their beautiful venue ~ Hotel du Vin, Tunbridge Wells.
Last month we had our final meeting before the wedding, where we went over timing and details of the day. And of course, their pre-wedding shoot. The autumn light was at its most beautiful and we walked around the grounds, which included a private little vineyard, just down some steps. Roses were in bloom, bright yellow leaves adorned the trees, and the soft scent of lavender filled the air. Before I start spouting Byron, I’d best show you some pictures…
Kate emailed me almost as soon as I’d put up the images:
Thank you so much – I’ve had a look at the photos and they are fantastic! Chris and I had a great day. I’m really pleased with them all and have already picked my favourites. As you said on the day, the lighting is beautiful and the location looks as though we are in the middle of the country, not a large town – I hope we get a couple of shots outside in feb. I love the style of the photos, the colouring, everything. It’s so natural and completely what we had hoped for..
Thank you again!!
As well as ordering some prints from the shoot, Kate and Chris have decided to have a signature mount ~ an image mounted at their reception for guests to sign and write messages, before I have it framed by a local, bespoke framer. It’s going to look so beautiful. Roll on Feb!
