Wedding Photography at The George in Rye | Sarah & David

There is something about a winter wedding that is just perfect for this country. You never know how the weather will behave even in the height of summer, so by choosing a December nuptial, you are accepting that it might be damp and drizzly and so you might as well enjoy yourself.  Instead of worrying, you get to enjoy roaring log fires, hot food, beautiful intimacy, and twinkly lights.

Sarah and David got to have all that for their wedding at The George in Rye and guess what…the sun still shone.

Sarah’s lace Elie Saab dress was just perfect.

And a groom in a black Dior suit? Bingo. Très chic.

I never get over how beautiful the ballroom at The George is. Chandeliers, decadent wallpaper, and big Georgian windows.

I think it’s fairly obvious why I fell in love with this wedding. An amazing atmosphere, a cosy feel, and a lovely couple. Kaz Fernando did an incredible job with Sarah’s hair and make-up ~ she truly is one of the best in the business.

Wedding photography at The George in Rye is a dream.  There are so many pretty locations in and around through the cobbled streets, and the gorgeousness of the interiors means it is a truly beautiful venue for creating timeless pictures.

To Sarah & David ~ Thank you for having me capture your beautiful day. Thank you for being passionate about your photography, for being game enough to go outside in the chilly December air, for trusting me to capture your day as I saw it. I truly hope you love your wedding pictures and I wish you a wonderful future together.

Thank you for the lovely comments. We feel so lucky to have had Jodie photograph our wedding! My earrings are from Swarovski and they are called Lavender. I found them four days before the wedding!

Sarah, Thanks! Excellent find - already ordered! Your photos are stunning and you look beautiful, what a DRESS! Jodie, the couple shots are stunning. If it were me I would pick my four favourites, have them blown up into wallpaper and re-wallpaper my house.

Great day, beautiful couple and truly fantastic photo's.

  • I was lucky enough to be Sarah's hair and makeup artist for her wedding. She is a beautiful lady inside and out and her wedding pictures are totally exquisite. We decided to change her hair from a planned down style as per the trial to an up do on the actual morning of the wedding, there was no time to practice, So very glad we did, it suits her dress so perfectly!! Jodie, you are a genius, you have captured a life time of memories for them to keep always. Kaz XX
