philippe & jennifer ~ i do ~ the bingham, richmond

Earlier this month I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Philippe and Jennifer’s beautiful wedding at The Bingham, a gorgeous Georgian hotel on the river in Richmond.  Those of you who remember this couple’s engagement shoot will remember that Philippe is French and the couple had recently moved to Paris.  Many of Philippe’s family and friends were making the trip over from France (and other parts of the world), so I knew this wedding was going to be something special.

Jennifer got ready at The Richmond Gate Hotel, and I couldn’t resist giving a squeal of excitement when she opened the door and had a feather in her hair ~ so gorgeous! Not only that, but the feathers even extended to her bespoke designed hand-made wedding dress which was absolutely stunning.  Already thinking how lovely she looked, I couldn’t believe it when she pulled out her Christian Louboutin shoes, complete with red soles and gold heels.

Squealing over, I got on with capturing the day as it unfolded.  The weather played ball and we had beautiful sunshine to accompany the drinks reception in the grounds of The Bingham.  I spent much of this time in the background, capturing relaxed shots of all the guests in their finery.  Philippe & Jennifer and I snuck off for fifteen minutes to capture some beautiful portraits of them both, which I know will look amazing in their album.

I always love speeches at weddings (it’s my sentimental side), and these definitely rank in my all time favourites. Philippe started his speech by giving Jennifer a white quilted Chanel bag, then went on to play a video that included footage from along their courtship over the last year and a half ~ which as the images below show, certainly gave Jennifer a [shocked] surprise.   Speeches always provide the perfect opportunity to capture great reaction shots, and these proved no exception.

As you will see, I have many favourites, so get ready for a very long picture post… To Philippe & Jennifer, thank you so much for having me as part of your wedding day.  I hope I’ve done your beautiful wedding justice with the images and can’t wait to design your album for you.
