Emily & Mike | Wedding ~ A High Society Affair

I’d been looking forward to Emily & Mike’s wedding ever since their pre-wedding shoot in New York City last November, when we spent a few hours taking in the sights in Central Park, Grand Central Station and on Fifth Avenue.  Not only were they great fun to photograph, but they are also two of the loveliest people I’ve ever met.  They also introduced Greg and I to Primeburger, which will certainly become a regular haunt on our NY trips.

Emily & Mike’s beautiful wedding took place at Emily’s family home ~ a stunning Georgian mansion in the Suffolk countryside.  Emily got ready with her bridesmaids before travelling to the church ceremony in a beautiful horse and cart (with horses called “Honey” and “Moon”).  After the ceremony, we took a quick trip down to the beach where we got a few windswept portraits before heading back for the marquee reception.  All in all, it was a very beautiful wedding and a great privilege to photograph.

I hope you had a wonderful time along the Amalfi coast, guys, and I really hope you love your wedding photographs.  I have a feeling they will make a very beautiful album!  Thanks so much for having me as part of your day.

Thank you so much Jodie - they really capture the fun, excitment, passion and intimacy of the day. As well as the bad dancing (!)

Wow! I love your B&W as usual, I love all the horse and carriage shots, they could belong to any time in history. And I really like how you've incorporated nature in the shoot. The candids are so gorgeous. I've looked at this set of images twice already today, and I think I will again by the end of the afternoon! The images are so beautiful!

I love the invitations with the handdrawn church. Did they draw it themselves or have it done professionally?
Beautifully captured, were some of these shot on film? They have that fabulous grainy quality.

Thanks guys. rebecca ~ none of these were shot on film, but thanks for the compliment! not sure whether the order of services were hand-drawn, but they did look very beautiful.
