Oh, how I love a Dartmouth House wedding.
Kate + James met via the modern phenomenon that is Tinder. An American in the big city, Kate was studying museum studies and says she knew almost immediately that James was ‘the one’. Fast forward a couple of years and they decided to get hitched in London town.
And so to May. The sun shone down as they said their vows in the little Hampstead church, and then it was back to Mayfair for dinner and dancing. Enroute, we took a little trip to Hampstead Heath where we ducked away from the crowds for some quiet portraits.
Thanks to the wedding team at Dartmouth House, and to Moon and Back Co for being filmmakers who made working together a breeze.
When Kate first got in touch, she wrote these words: After endlessly searching for a wedding photographer, I’ve totally fallen in love with your photographs. I actually majored in photography in art school, so needless to say photography is really important to me.
It always makes me so happy to hear these words. Merely creating a record of a wedding day is never my intention. Rather, it’s about creating imagery that touches, excites and moves the senses. Falling in love with their photographs is exactly what I want my clients to do, and all the while I am a wedding photographer, that shall remain my aim.
To Kate + James – thank you for having me capture the love between you and for allowing me to photograph it as I saw it. Being your photographer was an absolute pleasure, and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
