After their engagement shoot in Hampstead Heath and an intimate family service in West Sussex, I headed to Ibiza at the start of the month to capture Kelli & Robert’s island celebrations. They decided to have the wedding at one of their favourite holiday spots, Hotel Rural Es Cucons, a place that combines rustic beauty with a feeling of luxury.  It reminded me of the Joshua Trees in California, with cacti and tropical plants and old stone outbuildings.  Kelli walked down the aisle to Elvis Presley’s If I Can Dream (I LOVE Elvis!), and they walked back up the aisle to a showtune from Mary Poppins ~ a quirky touch that really suited the relaxed nature of the wedding.   Immediately after the ceremony, they released a bunch of red heart balloons with messages from guests tied with string.  After drinks around the pool, the party sat down under the trees for a delicious meal with the sun setting in the distance.  The evening party began with Kelli and Robert’s first dance, to the sounds of a special mix of Chasing Cars, featuring all the different cover versions of the song.  It was a surprise from Robert to Kelli and was a beautiful touch.
