I recently went to some local woods with Sam and her brood to capture some portraits of the kids in action.  Each of them have their own personality and I tried to capture an essence of this in each image.  Mae is soon to start secondary school and so she wanted to be seen as more of a grown-up….In his leathers, Billy stands his ground as the only boy of the trio….and Kitty in her kitty t-shirt and blazer was her usual giggling self.  Sam and Mark chose to have these three colour pictures as canvases for their beautiful newly-decorated lounge, and Mark couldn’t live without having the final black and white image of Kitty as a framed photograph.   These pictures will become more important as time passes and the kids continue to grow.  That’s just one of the reasons why capturing portraits is such an important part of living life.
